Parent & Child

The Parent & Child Program is an enriched space where the very young child can learn and develop in the proximity of their caregiver, under the supervision and support of our school’s trained birth-to-three professionals.
It is a space where we build community and celebrate the seasons of the year through handmade crafts, songs and nursery rhymes, seasonal foods, and festivals. Child development topics are curated and studied during the gatherings, creating an inviting environment for discussion and community support.
Families seeking experiences that nourish the senses and warm the soul can find refuge in this carefully tailored program, which strives to incorporate nature, quiet observation, and reverence for both parent and child’s transformative journey.

Blossoming Tots

Children ages 18 months – 3 years old and their caregivers are welcome!

These classes weave in activities common to a Waldorf Nursery, beginning with handwork and morning free play, followed by seasonal songs and nursery rhymes, a nourishing snack, community sharing, and nature time in our school’s beautiful playground!
Both adults and children will be nurtured by the joy of community, creativity, and connections that will enrich the soul and support family life.
Classes are limited to 6 families to support the quality of experience of each participant. Waitlists and early registration are available and encouraged.

Dates, Cost, Location

      • Parent Orientation: Sunday, October 9, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (adults only)
      • Parent/Tot Sessions: Saturdays, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.: October 15, 22, 29, November 5, 12, 19
      • Investment: $290 (per 7-week session)
      • Location: Morning Meadow Preschool & Kindergarten. 813 NW 6th Street, Gainesville, FL 32601

Bio

Isis Bennett joined Morning Meadow Waldorf School in 2022 from Keene, New Hampshire. She moved to Gainesville after graduating from her Waldorf teacher training and residency at Sophia’s Hearth Family Center.
She has worked with infants and toddlers in home and nursery settings and loves caring for young children and supporting family life!
Isis specializes in the study of Parent-Child Work, Outdoor Education, and Puppetry Arts. In her work with young children and families, she is affectionately called Miss ZZ.
In her spare time, Miss ZZ enjoys nature outings, cuddling up with a good read and a cup of tea, and being with her beloved family.
