Parent Discussion Night: Effects of Media On Children – February 4

Looking ahead, we will have an all parent evening at Morning Meadow on February 4th. The evening will begin at 7:30 and should last for 90 minutes-give or take. The topic of discussion will be the effects of media on children. I know there are various opinions on media and children throughout our school as individual families ponder this topic in their homes. Our hope is to have families gather together to discuss media as it affects their children and specifically the culture of our school. This is intended to be an open invitation to look at media’s influence and how each family may live with how it may or may not be a part of their home environment and why-not an evening of guilt or distress. There will be a reading sent home in your child’s cubbie or lunch box before the parent night to help enliven the discussion. This is an adult evening, so please – no children. Thank you.
