Parent Programs

Throughout the school year, we happily provide a selection of Parent Programs. These programs range from Discussion Nights, Free Lectures and Parenting and Waldorf Education related workshops. While a few of these events may be limited to parents of attending students, many will be open to the public!  Recurring scheduled events will be posted on this page. All non-regularly scheduled parent programs will be posted through our blog posts on our home page. If you are interested in holding a parent program or event, please contact us!

Sophia Group of Gainesville:

This group meets on Sunday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 am  The Sophia group of Gainesville is an independent anthroposophical study group that meets  weekly at Morning Meadow .   The study group was formed in 1995 by  Sylvia Paluzzi and a group of interested parents who wanted to understand Rudolf Steiner’s (founder  of Waldorf Education) books on the many facets of his philosophy, – Anthroposophy.  Over the years the Sophia group has studied books on a variety of topics including Waldorf education, medicine, the evolution of Human consciousness, and Karma.  No previous knowledge of Steiner work is needed to join, only a willingness to try and understand these thought provoking books.  Please note this is an Adult only study group and is free and open to the public.
